Wickham Type 40 Inspection Trolley

The Railway uses various types of trolleys all over the network for activities such as transporting workers, equipment and materials to site for minor repairs and rail inspection.

Seating 9, the Wickham Type 40 trolley was used for rail inspection. They were purchased in several batches by the Rhodesia Railways until the onset of sanctions. Some have made their way into private ownership in South Africa, where they can easily be distinguished from the SAR versions.
