Between 1951 and 1953, Rhodesia Railways placed the CT-2 Third Class carriages into service. These along with CF-5 First Class, CS-4 Second Class and CN-4 Fourth Class carriages were the first steel bodied main line carriages to see service with Rhodesia Railways. They featured 8 compartments and 1 coupe and could seat 68 and sleep 51 people. All of the carriages were built in the UK by various manufacturers who had supplied the RR in the past. They had two toilet cubicles, one at each end of the carriage. Many of these carriages are still in use today, but their age and lack and of maintenance have left them in a very dilapidated state

Supplied unpainted, but with a detailed interior with separately applied compartment doors and seat backrests so the modeller can customise the model as they wish. Bogies, wheels, brake wheels, couplers and screws are included. The model also features accurate underframe equipment and accurate roof vent spacing and arrangement.
