SMR-5 Container Flat

The SMR-5 container flats were converted from SHL-5 and SHR-5 wagons in 1987, with extra twistlocks being added so that they could handle 5 foot containers as well as 10, 20 and 40 foot. They were air braked only, and were left with the majority of the frame exposed.

Our model accepts the locating lugs of most manufacturers container models (Walthers, etc.), and is supplied with bogies, wheels, couplers and brake wheels. It is available in both 12mm and 16.5mm gauge
